DIED Lloyd passed away at 11:15 AM on Sunday the 8th. of August 1948 at home, 21 Bagley Av. in Bradford, Pa. Lloyd was 74. Cause of death: Arteriosclerosi.
CEMETERY Lloyd was buried on Wedesday the 11th. of August, 1948 in the Powell Family Plot in Willowdale Cemetery at 30 Hedgehog Lane in Bradford, Pa. next to his son John Henry Powell. Later his wife: Effie Mae Cummins-Powell, and son Harold James Powell, and daughter: Jean Harritt Powell-Lederman fallowed.

Lloyd's Granddaughter Wanda Helen Powell graduated from Bradford Jr. High School on June 6th. 1941; Lloyd's brother Charles Henry Powell dies on Monday November 03, 1941 from an auto accident in Flint, Mich. Charles’s body was brought back to Bradford, Pa. were he was buried next to his parents in the Powell family plot in Oak Hill Cemetery.
1942: Lloyd's grandson Francis James Powell weds Winifred Lorraine Fee in Jacksonville Florida on Friday February 20, 1942.
1943:
Lloyd's youngest son John Henry Powell dies from an epileptic seizure at home, 70 Rocklin Av. in Bradford, Pa. on August 25, 1943. Lloyd's wife Effie Mae Cummins-Powell found John in his bed when she went looking for him when he did not come down for breakfast. Lloyd's son Harold James Powell and Grandson Gerald Harold Powell walked up the hill to the oil fields where Lloyd was working. When Lloyd saw them he said: " Its John isn't it?" John was buried on August 27, 1943 in Willowdale Cemetery in Bradford PA. The words on the headstone "Out of Grief Comith Peace" are Effie's words to her son John.
1944: Lloyd's granddaughter Wanda Helen Powell Graduated from Bradford High School in June 09, 1944; Lloyd's daughter Jean Harriett Powell weds Francis Lederman at St. Joseph’s Cathedral on Saturday September 16, 1944 in Buffalo, NY; Lloyd's nephew James Lee Powell is killed on Tuesday October17, 1944 in a military boomer plane crash in Yorkshire, England during WW2. James was 20. James was buried in Harrogate (Stone Fall) Cemetery in Yorkshire England.
1945: Lloyd's granddaughter Wanda Helen Powell’s future husband Jay Leroy Chapman Graduated from Bradford High School in June 09, 1945; Lloyd's first Great Grandchild Wanda Sharyn Powell is born on October 31, 1945 in Fernandina, Florida to Thomas Wesley Powell and Doris Austin-Powell; Winifred Lorraine Fee-Powell dies on Thursday May 17, 1945 at Army Air Force Base in Newark NJ.
